Designing an elevated booking experience for luxury living

Seraya is a Dubai-based property management brand offering a refined collection of high-end apartments for both short and long-term stays. The challenge was to build a digital home that mirrored the sophistication of the physical properties, balancing high-end aesthetics with a seamless, high-conversion booking engine.

Problems to solve

  • Standardized templates: The previous interface felt like a generic rental site, failing to communicate the "luxury" price point and lifestyle.
  • Friction in discovery: Users found it difficult to filter by specific lifestyle needs (e.g., "work-from-home ready" or "balcony views").
  • Fragmented brand identity: No cohesive design system existed, leading to inconsistent iconography and font usage across different touchpoints.

The Approach

The goal was to create a "digital concierge" experience. I focused on a minimalist layout that allows the high-quality imagery and interior design to take center-stage, supported by a rigorous design system.

Bespoke Design System

I developed a refined visual language using serif typography for headings to evoke a "boutique hotel" feel, paired with a clean sans-serif for readability in functional areas.

Custom Iconography

Instead of off-the-shelf sets, I designed a custom suite of thin-stroke icons representing high-end amenities like "private chef access," "shower-head filter," and "valet services."

Conversion-led Booking

Redesigned the booking flow to be a multi-step, focused experience that reduces cognitive load, making the transition from "browsing" to "confirmed stay" effortless.
